PBS’ Smartest Night on TV Attracts Nearly 15 Million Combined Viewers*

ARLINGTON, VA; 11/3/2011 -- PBS announced today that a cumulative audience of 11.9 million households, accounting for 14.8 million persons 2+*, took a mind-bending journey last evening with physicist Brian Greene in NOVA “What Is Space?,” the first episode of the four-part “The Fabric of the Cosmos,” and then explored the genius of the late innovator and inventor in STEVE JOBS – ONE LAST THING, which followed at 10:00 p.m.

“PBS continues to innovate with our programming schedule to pair shows that attract like-minded viewers and make our nights even more engaging, said John F. Wilson, Senior Vice President & Chief TV Programming Executive. “Last night’s ‘smartest night’ on television reinforces that millions of viewers are seeking this kind of television.”

NOVA “The Fabric of the Cosmos” continues on PBS Wednesdays, November 9-23, 2011, 9:00-10:00 p.m. ET, followed by an encore of Brian Greene’s  “The Elegant Universe” on NOVA.  Each “The Fabric of the Cosmos” episode will also be streamed on video.pbs.org, timed to the national broadcast, and the first episode is available now. All episodes are available for purchase on iTunes or on DVD and Blu-ray at shoppbs.org.

STEVE JOBS – ONE LAST THING is also available in streaming video on PBS’ Video Portal and on the free PBS apps for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch.
