PBS Receives Seven Webby Award Nominations

PBS Stations and Programs Receive Nine Nominations and 16 Honoree Recognitions

On April 9, the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences announced the nominees of the 17th annual Webby Awards — the leading international award honoring excellence on the Internet.

PBS received seven Webby Award nominations in the following categories: Best Youth Website for pbskids.org, Best Editing for PBS Idea Channel, Best Web Personality/ Host for Mike Rugnetta of PBS Idea Channel, Video Remixes/ Mashups for Mister Rogers Remixed: Garden of Your Mind, Best Practices for the PBS mobile video, Entertainment (Tablet & All Other Devices) for PBS mobile video, and Games (Tablets & All Other Devices) for Cyberchase 3D Builder.

Sesame Street also received two nominations for Education & Reference (Handheld Devices) and Overall Social Presence. In total, PBS programs and stations garnered nine nominations and 16 honoree recognitions.
