PBS Digital Properties Earn Four Webby Awards and Three Webby People's Voice Awards
On April 30, the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences announced the winners of the 17th annual Webby Awards — the leading international award honoring excellence on the Internet. PBS received a total of four Webby Awards. Three of PBS' Webby Award winners were also named winners of Webby People’s Voice Winners, as determined by Internet voters around the world.
The PBS winners are:
- Mister Rogers Remixed: Garden of Your Mind by PBS Digital Studios –
Webby Award Winner for Video Remixes/Mashups
- PBS KIDS (pbskids.org) – Webby Award and Webby People’s Voice Award for Best Youth Website
- PBS IDEA CHANNEL – Webby Award and Webby People’s Voice Award for Best Editing; Webby Award and Webby People’s Voice Award for Best Web Personality/Host for Mike Rugnetta
Winners will receive their awards in a ceremony hosted by comedian/writer/actor Patton Oswalt. The ceremony will be available to view on-demand in HD at watch.webbyawards.com, beginning 9 a.m. ET on May 22, 2013.
