"PBS is very honored to have received 34 Emmy nominations this year,” said PBS President & CEO Paula Kerger. "We strive to provide content that is distinctive and impactful, and I think that these nominations are a mark that we are succeeding. We tell stories of cultural significance, as evidenced by the nominations for AMERICAN MASTERS, AMERICAN EXPERIENCE, ANTIQUES ROADSHOW, and PIONEERS OF TELEVISION. We inspire creativity through the arts, through shows like GREAT PERFORMANCES. And we are extremely proud to be the home of great dramas like MASTERPIECE’s SHERLOCK and DOWNTON ABBEY. Congratulations to all of our Emmy nominees for their outstanding work this year."
The Primetime Emmy Awards will be telecast August 25, 2014, on NBC from the Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE in Los Angeles.
