MASTERPIECE Receives Five Golden Globe Nominations

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association on Dec. 15 announced nominees for the 69th annual Golden Globe Awards. PBS congratulates MASTERPIECE and its stars for receiving five nominations, including four for "Downton Abbey" and one for "Page Eight." "Dowton Abbey" returns to PBS for a second season on Jan. 8, 2012 at 9 p.m. ET (check local listings).


Golden Globe winners will be announced during a live telecast on Jan. 15, 2012.


PBS' Golden Globe nominees are:
Best Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television
- MASTERPIECE CLASSIC "Downton Abbey"


Best Performance by an Actress in a Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television
- Elizabeth McGovern, MASTERPIECE CLASSIC "Downton Abbey"


Best Performance by an Actor in a Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television
- Hugh Bonneville, MASTERPIECE CLASSIC "Downton Abbey"
- Bill Nighy, MASTERPIECE CONTEMPORARY "Page Eight"


Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television
- Maggie Smith, MASTERPIECE CLASSIC "Downton Abbey"
