”Kitchen Explorers” brings the joy of cooking to kids with recipes, tips and tools parents and kids can use together

Arlington, VA - September 21 - Parents and children can bake magic together with the help of two amazing moms and cooks, Alice Currah and Aviva Goldfarb, on the new PBSPARENTS.org cooking blog, Kitchen Explorers
(PBSPARENTS.org/kitchenexplorers).

Alice and Aviva will offer recipes and tips that make cooking with kids fun and educational, introducing concepts of measurements, chemistry and creativity and demonstrating that the kitchen is a great place for parents and kids to explore and learn while creating great meals.

“Not only is cooking with our kids a terrific way to have fun together, but it also creates so many teaching moments where we can practice our children's math and reading skills by following recipes together, practice problem solving and put our creative skills to work by developing our own recipes” said Aviva. “I am so proud to be a member of the PBS family, bringing enticing and easy-to-follow meal and snack ideas to PBS Parents.”

Alice adds, "From the time I was a young child, PBS children's programming has been a wonderful influence in my life and now in the lives of my children. Kitchen Explorers is about helping parents and children in the kitchen with a focus on community and active member interaction. I'm thrilled to be part of the PBS Parents team.”
