PBS Wins Six News & Documentary Emmys

PBS programs won six News & Documentary Emmy awards during a live ceremony on Sept. 26, 2011. These awards join an additional 14 Primetime Emmys and 12 Daytime Emmys awarded to PBS shows, for a total of 32 Emmys in 2011.


PBS congratulates our PBS producer recipients of News & Documentary Emmys, including POV, which received four awards, and INDEPENDENT LENS and FRONTLINE, which each took home one trophy.


PBS’ News & Documentary Emmy award winners are:


Outstanding Investigative Journalism – Long Form -    POV “Presumed Guilty”
Outstanding Informational Programming – Long Form -    POV “Food, Inc.”
Outstanding Business and Economic Reporting – Long Form -    POV “Good Fortune”
Outstanding Arts & Culture Programming -    INDEPENDENT LENS “Art & Copy”
Best Documentary -    POV “Food, Inc.”
Outstanding Promotional Announcement: Institutional -    FRONTLINE Fall Image Campaign “Times Like These”
