PBS to Broadcast "America: A Tribute to Heroes" National Telethon, Friday, September 21

Alexandria, Va., September 19, 2001 - PBS will join with other networks in presenting "America: A Tribute to Heroes" Friday night from 9-11pm, live on the East Coast and in central time zones, and air tape-delayed on the West Coast. Check local listings.

The celebrity list so far includes Tom Hanks, George Clooney, Jim Carrey, Bruce Springsteen, Julia Roberts, Cameron Diaz, Bon Jovi, Robert DeNiro, Clint Eastwood, Sheryl Crow, Robin Williams, Billy Joel, Paul Simon, Stevie Wonder, Ray Romano, Dennis Franz, Kelsey Grammer, Calista Flockhart, and more.
