ARLINGTON, VA; December 10, 2022— The International Documentary Association announced the IDA Documentary Award Winners at the Paramount Theater, Los Angeles, representing the best nonfiction films and programs of the year. Shortlists and nominees are selected by independent committees of 310 documentary makers, curators, critics, and industry experts from 52 countries. PBS received eight nominations, including all five nominations in the “Best Curated Series” category. In addition, a future INDEPENDENT LENS documentary, SAM NOW, received a nomination for Best Editing. Out of the eight nominations, PBS won three IDA Awards, including Best Curated Series and Best Short-Form Series (POV).
