On December 8, NAACP announced nominations for the 47th NAACP Image Awards. PBS programs received two nominations including one for "The Black Panthers: Vanguard of the Revolution" and one for AMERICAN MASTERS “August Wilson: The Ground on Which I Stand.”
"The Black Panthers: Vanguard of the Revolution" was distributed in theaters this fall through PBS Distribution and will air on INDEPENDENT LENS in February 2016.

Winners will be announced during a live telecast on Friday, February 5, 2016 at 9:00 p.m. ET on TV One.
