PBS Programs Honored with Two NAACP Image Awards

On Friday, Feb. 6, winners of the 46th National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Image Awards were announced. INDEPENDENT LENS was awarded in the Outstanding Documentary (Film) category for "Through A Lens Darkly: Black Photographers and the Emergence of a People.” POV was honored in the Outstanding Literary Work – Instructional category for “Promises Kept: Raising Black Boys to Succeed in School and in Life.”
