PBS Nominated for 45 News & Documentary Emmys®

PBS programs received 45 nominations for the 34th Annual News & Documentary Emmy® Awards, the second most-earned by any organization. The nominees were announced July 11, 2013 by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS). The awards honor programming distributed during the 2012 calendar year.

PBS programs receiving multiple nominations include FRONTLINE (18), POV (9), NATURE (6), INDEPENDENT LENS (4), and AMERICAN EXPERIENCE (4). In addition, David Fanning, Executive Producer and founder of FRONTLINE will receive the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award.

PBS congratulates all of our nominated producers and David Fanning, as well as our fellow public media nominee American Public Television. A complete list of nominations is below.

The awards will be presented on October 1, 2012 during a ceremony at the Frederick P. Rose Hall, Home of Jazz at the Lincoln Center, in the Time Warner Center in New York City.
