PBS KIDS and PBS KIDS Producers Win Six Kidscreen Awards and Two iKids Awards

Winners of the 2015 Kidscreen Awards were announced on Tuesday, February 24 during the Kidscreen Summit in Miami. The annual awards celebrate the year’s best in children’s media and broadcasting.

 

In total, PBS KIDS and PBS KIDS programs won six awards. PBS KIDS received the awards for Channel of the Year and Best Channel Design (for pbskids.org). Additionally, Peg + Cat, produced by 9 Story Media Group and The Fred Rogers Company, won awards for Best New Series and Best Animated Series (Pre-School Category), Best Voice Talent and Best Music.

 

Winners of the 2015 iKids Awards were announced on Thursday, February 24 during the Kidscreen Summit as well. The iKids Awards recognize the best digital media products and platforms.

PBS KIDS' Plum’s Photo Hunt App, produced by WGBH, won the award for Best Smartphone Learning App in the Kids ages 6 and up category. In addition, Sesame Workshop won the award for Best Streaming Video Platform (Preschool Category).
