Marcus Samuelsson and Pati Jinich Among James Beard Media Award Winners

Winners of the 2019 James Beard Media Awards were announced on Friday, April 26. The annual awards are given by the James Beard Foundation and are the highest honor for food and beverage professionals working in North America. PBS and APT programs were awarded two Broadcast Media Awards for NO PASSPORT REQUIRED and PATI’S MEXICAN TABLE.

NO PASSPORT REQUIRED is a six-part series that takes viewers on an inspiring journey across the U.S. to explore and celebrate the wide-ranging diversity of immigrant traditions and cuisine woven into American food and culture. The James Beard and Imagen Award-winning TV series PATI’S MEXICAN TABLE brings authentic Mexican flavors, colors, textures and warmth into your home.
