At the inaugural Critics' Choice Documentary Awards, upcoming INDEPENDENT LENS film "Tower" was honored with the win for Most Innovative Documentary. Announced November 3 at an event in Brooklyn, the awards were given by the Broadcast Film Critics’ Association and the Broadcast Television Journalists Association.
Premiering on February 14, "Tower" is an animated documentary that reframes the events of America's first mass school shooting that took place in 1966 at a campus tower at the University of Texas.
