INDEPENDENT LENS "Dolores" Receives Imagen Award Nomination

On Thursday, June 28, 2018, the Imagen Foundation announced the 33rd Annual Imagen Awards nominations. The Imagen Awards recognize programs and individuals that advance the positive portrayal and number of Latinos on screen. PBS was honored with a Best Documentary nomination for INDEPENDENT LENS “Dolores.”

 

Among the other nominations received by the public broadcasting system were a nod for ADELANTE! From Milwaukee PBS for Best Informational Program (Local or National).  PATI’S MEXICAN TABLE from American Public Television is nominated for Best Variety or Reality Show. WORLD Channel’s AMERICA REFRAMED: FAREWELL FERRIS WHEEL and KCET’S LOST LA both earned nominations for Best Documentary, and STORYBORED USA from WORLD Channel is up for Best Short-Form Non-Fiction Program.

 

Winners will be announced on  August 25, 2018, at the JW Marriott Los Angeles at LA Live. For a complete list of all Imagen Award nominees, click here .
