On January 15, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association revealed the winners of the 69th Annual Golden Globe Awards. PBS congratulates MASTERPIECE, whose critically acclaimed program "Downton Abbey" won the Golden Globe for Best Miniseries or Motion Picture Made for Television.
Currently in its second season, "Downton Abbey" resumes the story of aristocrats and servants during the tumultuous World War I era. The Jan. 8 season premiere averaged 4.2 million viewers, doubling the average PBS primetime rating. (Nielsen Fast National data, 2.7 household rating.)
