The 72nd annual Golden Globe Awards were held Sunday, January 10. Actress Joanne Froggatt was honored with Best Supporting Actress in a Series, Mini-Series or TV Movie for her portrayal of Mrs. Anna Bates on “Downton Abbey” on MASTERPIECE. This is the first Golden Globes nomination and win for Joanne Froggatt.
"Downton Abbey" returned to PBS for a fifth season on Jan. 4, 2015 at 9 p.m. ET (check local listings). Rejoin the Crawley family for a fifth season of intimately interlaced stories centered on the English country estate. An average audience of 10.1 million viewers tuned in for Sunday’s premiere (Nielsen Fast National data, 6.1 household rating). “Downton Abbey” on MASTERPIECE remains the highest-rated drama in PBS history.
