"President George W. Bush Talking with David Frost" will air Sunday, November 16, on PBS stations

Washington, DC, November 10, 2003 - Sir David Frost will interview President Bush this week, prior to the president's trip to the United Kingdom. The program will begin to air on PBS stations on November 16 (check local listings), following the broadcast of Frost's BBC Sunday morning program in the U.K., "Breakfast with Frost," at 5 AM ET. President Bush's visit to London is scheduled for November 18-21.

"This is my first interview with President George W. Bush and I'm looking forward to a wide-ranging conversation on topics of importance to our two countries," said Sir David. "Clearly, our nations are first and foremost allies, standing shoulder to shoulder in Iraq and on a variety of issues, but Britain is often torn by other agendas, including its ties to the European community. On the eve of President Bush's trip to the United Kingdom, the British and American people need to hear first-hand from the President."

"PBS is pleased to maintain our role at the forefront of providing informative and compelling programming; PBS has aired David Frost's interviews for PBS with every U.S. president since Richard Nixon, including multiple interviews with President George H. W. Bush and President Bill Clinton," said Pat Mitchell, PBS president and CEO. "This interview with President Bush will offer the kind of insightful discussion that is the hallmark of Frost's interviews, as well as all of PBS news and public affairs shows."

In addition to Sir David's U.S. presidential interviews, he was the first international journalist to interview Russian President Vladimir Putin, and he conducted a second interview at the official dacha belonging to the president's office. Since the beginning of this year, Sir David has interviewed Prime Minister Tony Blair, Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf, U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell and a host of other world leaders.
